This Thursday is our SENIOR REC FOOTBALL GAME – OCTOBER 30th AT 7:00 pm @ IHS
Before the game, TIMB volunteer photographers will be taking photos of our marching band seniors on senior rec night. We will be taking individual photos of the seniors, seniors + family photos and if there is time senior buddy photos.
Here is some information on the senior pictures to help things run efficiently.
We want to ensure that all of our seniors get the opportunity to have their portrait taken in the short window that we have before the football game begins. Seniors and parents – please come prepared for the photos (makeup/hair/instruments) to help keep the process efficient. There will be stations for “senior only photos” and then stations for “seniors + family”. There will be a TIMB parent helping to direct you to the correct stations!
SENIORS & SENIOR FAMILIES:
4:45pm: Senior call time at the Irvine High School basketball courts. ALL SENIORS HELP UNLOAD TRUCKS, GET INTO UNIFORM ASAP. If we cannot get in to the gym at this time, please set up the tarps on the court, and change outside. Once dressed, immediately head to the track for pictures. No shakos for pictures! :)
5:15pm: Seniors and senior families meet at the football stadium/track for photos. (Family & individual photos FIRST. If there is time, we will allow SENIOR buddy photos)
5:15-6:10pm: Senior photos inside the football stadium (Last photo will be taken at 6:10… Band must be lined up and heading to pre-game at 6:20)
EVERYONE ELSE:
5:30pm – Call time at Irvine High School
WEAR – Band shirt, athletic shorts, black crew socks, dinkles. HAIR UP AND OUT OF YOUR FACE. No jewelry.
BRING – Instrument, Water, ALL MUSIC/LYRE. We will have the IHS gym to leave our cases in, and use to change in to uniforms.
DO NOT BRING – Backpacks, purses, personal belongings of any kind.
MEET – On the basketball courts behind the pool/gym promptly at 5:30.

6:25 pm: Pre-Game Performance – Senior recognition for CHEER on the field.
7:00pm: Kickoff
PICK UP APPROX. 8:45-9:00 pm: We will be releasing students after HALF-TIME! Students will need to change out of their uniforms, and load trucks. Please plan your ride accordingly. Director approved pick-up location is the front parking lot off Walnut.
TRUCK LOADING: If you have an open 7th period, we will be loading the trucks at that time. All Pit, Band Staff, Leadership, Drumline, Tubas & CG and anyone else with a kind heart who wants to help should attend (if you have an open 7th).
TRUCK UNLOADING: Since we have IIFT on Saturday, we will be leaving the trucks loaded after Thursday for our event on Saturday. NO TRUCK UNLOADING THURSDAY NIGHT.
We will be feeding you after halftime at the gym after you change.
IRVINE INVITATIONAL FIELD TOURNAMENT @ IHS
Saturday 11/1 is the Irvine Invitational Field Tournament! Performance is at Irvine High School. DROP OFF/MEETING LOCATION IS AT HERITAGE PARK BEHIND THE LIBRARY. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DROPPING OFF AT IRVINE HIGH SCHOOL!
EVERYONE :
4:30pm – Call time TO HERITAGE PARK. DO NOT PARK AT IRVINE HIGH SCHOOL!!! Park at the park, or in the adjacent neighborhood. Get dropped off at the park, or carpool. Parking is extremely limited. DO NOT GET DROPPED OFF AT IRVINE HIGH SCHOOL – GO TO HERITAGE PARK! WE ARE MEETING AT THE PARK BEHIND THE LIBRARY!!

4:45-5:30pm – WALK OVER TOGETHER TO WATCH OTHER BANDS. All students will get a wristband, and must walk in/sit/stay together.
5:30-6:00pm – Unload trucks/EAT DINNER – Location TBD
6:00-6:30pm – Students change into uniform by trucks (put down tarps). All 3 trucks will be parked together where they tell us on that day. Location TBD.
6:45- 7:20pm – Warm-Up – Location TBD (They will give us a designated warm-up location on this day)
7:30pm – PERFORMANCE IN IRVINE HIGH SCHOOL STADIUM
7:45pm – Head over to the Irvine High School outdoor amphitheater next to new theater to RETIRE THE SHOW.
8:00pm – RETIRE THE SHOW. This is a private and solemn ceremony, and because of that, we ask that there be NO PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEO of this time. This tradition goes back to the beginning of the school, and is something that lives on in our memories and hearts. If you see any family or friends who are filming during this time, please politely ask them to stop. Feel free to film EVERYTHING inside the Stadium!!!
PICK UP APPROX. 9:00pm – PICK UP ONLY AT THE FRONT LOT OF IRVINE HIGH SCHOOL BY THE AQUATIC CENTER. THE BACK LOTS WILL NOT BE ACCESSIBLE TO ANY INCOMING TRAFFIC AT THIS TIME.
TRUCK LOADING: Trucks will already be loaded from Thursday night! HOORAY!
TRUCK UNLOADING: We will be unloading the trucks after IIFT. All Band Staff, Leadership, Drumline, Tubas & CG are required to attend.
PARENTS – Please drop off your student FIRST at Heritage Park (behind the library), before parking. Since we will be arriving later than the rest of the bands, parking is extremely limited. Park in the adjoining neighborhood, or at the park as well. The front parking lot, and back parking lots will be blocked off for Marching Bands (we are 1 of 13 other HS Marching Bands performing).
Tickets to enter the stadium are $15 for adults, and $12 for seniors & children 5-14. Children under 4 are free.
PLEASE DO NOT DROP OFF YOUR STUDENTS ANYWHERE AT IRVINE HIGH SCHOOL!
